Parohia Romano-Catolică “Sf. Nicolae” Bacău
The “Sf. Nicolae” Roman Catholic Parish church is the oldest preserved Catholic place of worship in Bacău, Romania, after the previous cathedral was destroyed in a flood in 1676. The site has hosted Christian life since at least the 14th century. Located in the city centre, the current neo-classical style building was constructed between 1845 and 1861. It is an active parish church with a full liturgical schedule throughout the week. The parish also engages in extensive charitable activities, supporting a large number of faithful, including students, the sick, and the poor.
